Hi! I'm Kelsey, a self taught baker born and raised here in LA! My background is in art and film however baking has always been a major passion of mine.

I've always loved making people smile with my cakes and desserts which is why I opened up my own bake shop. I'm a firm believer that everyone needs to treat themselves every so often and indulging in a tasty treat is the perfect way to do so!

I take inspiration from classic Americana and vintage recipes, and since I'm a movie nerd, I love incorporating Old Hollywood aesthetics. One of my favorite flicks is "Some Like It Hot" and I thought it would be a cute full circle moment to pay homage to Marilyn's character, Sugar Kane Kowalczyk. Now you know how the name of the bake shop came about!

Anyways, my personal menu favorites are Strawberry Milkshake Cake, PB&J Cookie Sandwiches and Chocolate Cake. I absolutely love recreating childhood favorites and I hope that bit of nostalgia brings you joy like it does for me. I can't wait to whip something up for you!
